Why Am I Being Charged?
Recurring charges typically come from:
Monthly fees for active dedicated numbers, even if no messages are sent
Auto-recharge when your account balance is too low to cover fees
These safeguards protect your number and prevent service interruptions.
View all your active dedicated numbers here: Manage Dedicated Numbers
Managing Your Dedicated Number
Option 1: Keep Your Number
Continue sending/receiving messages without interruption
Monthly fees continue, and auto-recharge will top up your balance if needed
Option 2: Cancel Your Number
Stops future monthly charges and auto-recharges
Consequences:
You cannot send messages to countries requiring a dedicated number until you purchase a new one
A new number must go through the registration and verification process
To cancel:
Log in to your account
Navigate to Active Dedicated Numbers
Contact ClickSend support to remove the number
Billing and auto-recharge stop immediately upon removal.
Refunds for Auto-Recharges
Unintended auto-recharges after removing a number may be eligible for a refund if you contact ClickSend support.
Note: Refunds do not cover prior months of non-usage or mid-cycle subscriptions, only remaining account credit.
US-Specific Considerations
Removing a dedicated number requires planning due to regulatory requirements
Any new number must be purchased and verified before use
10DLC long codes and Toll-Free Numbers are valid options, but registration can take several days
In summary,
Dedicated numbers have monthly fees and may trigger auto-recharge
You can keep or cancel a number to manage charges
Removing a number stops recurring fees but requires re-registration to resume messaging
Accounts remain active after number removal
