However, you can't send MMS messages.

You can only send via registered alpha tags in Indonesia.

Alpha tags

Alpha tags allow you to use your brand name as your Sender ID instead of a number. Recipients cannot reply to messages sent using an alpha tag.

To register an alpha tag, please contact support.

Alpha tag registration usually takes 120 business days.

Registration requirements

When registering an alpha tag, you will need to provide:

  • Alpha tag (Maximum 11 characters with no spaces)

  • Name of the Company

  • Name of the contact person

  • Business Nature

  • Description of traffic

  • Example message

  • Web page

  • Must complete a registration form that will be sent by our Global Sending Specialist.


Rules and best practices

Opt-In:
User opt-in is required, but it does not need to occur via SMS. Alternative channels such as web forms, email sign-ups, or app registrations are acceptable. An MO (mobile-originated) number is not required for opt-in.

Opt-Out:
An opt-out option is mandatory, but it does not have to be via SMS. You may offer alternative methods such as email, web forms, or app settings. An MO number is not required for opt-out.
