Two-Way messaging is supported when using a dedicated number.

MMS isn't supported in this country.

Alpha tags

Alpha tags allow you to use your brand name as your Sender ID instead of a number. Recipients cannot reply to messages sent using an alpha tag.

To register an alpha tag, please contact support.

Alpha tag registration usually takes 20 business days.

Registration requirements

When registering an alpha tag, you will need to provide:

  • Business name, address, and website

  • Contact email address and phone number

  • Information on how you plan to use the alpha tag

Dedicated numbers

Send from a trusted, local number. Your messages will always come from a consistent Sender ID, which is perfect for establishing trust and recognition.

Rules and best practices

  • Ensure recipients have opted in before sending

  • Always include a clear opt-out instruction, such as "Reply STOP to opt out"

  • Do not send to numbers listed on the Do Not Contact (DNC) registry unless explicit consent has been obtained

  • Misleading message headers, masked Caller ID, or disguised sender identity are not permitted

  • Messages must comply with Hong Kong’s Unsolicited Electronic Messages Ordinance (UEMO)

  • A valid unsubscribe facility must be included in all SMS campaigns
