Your handy guide to sending in Singapore

Updated over 2 weeks ago

You can send One-Way and Two-Way SMS messages to Singapore.

However, you can't send MMS messages.

Available sender IDs

You can choose from a few Sender ID options when sending to Singapore.

Registration and fees may apply.

Not sure which one to choose?

See our Sender ID guide or contact support — we're happy to help.

Alpha tags

Alpha tags allow you to use your brand name as your Sender ID instead of a number. Recipients cannot reply to messages sent using an alpha tag.

To register an alpha tag, please contact support.

Registration ETA: 3-4 weeks

Registration requirements

When registering an alpha tag, you will need to:

  • All Alpha Tags must be registered with Singapore’s SMS Alpha Tag Registry (SSIR).

  • You need a Singapore UEN (Unique Entity Number) to register.

    • Foreign businesses can get a UEN by registering with ACRA.

  • Register Alpha Tags via the SSIR portal.

  • After registration, send SinchClickSend a completed Letter of Authorisation using our template (with company header, details, and signature).

Dedicated numbers

Send from a trusted, local number. Your messages will always come from a consistent Sender ID, which is perfect for establishing trust and recognition.

To purchase a dedicated number, please contact support.

Registration ETA: 2-3 weeks

Short codes

Short codes are 5-6 digits long and offer superior throughput — ideal if you plan to send a high volume of messages.
