Shared Short code

Shared short codes are free, ready to use, and donโ€™t need registration. Messages will be sent from our pool of local Sender IDs, so the number might be different each time.

Shared short codes support one-way messaging only.

Dedicated Short codes

Short codes are 5-6 digits long and offer superior throughput โ€” ideal if you plan to send a high volume of messages.

To purchase a short code, please contact support.

Short code registration usually takes 20-30 weeks.


Rules and best practices

Opt-In:
Required. Any form of opt-in is permitted by the operators (e.g. web, call center, MO, etc.). The content provider must be able to demonstrate proof of opt-in in the event of an operator audit or a user complaint.

Opt-Out:
Required. The content provider is responsible for removing users from their database upon request.

End User Support / HELP Message:
Programs should support HELP messages as a best practice.

Sending Time Restrictions:
It is prohibited to send promotional, marketing, or financial content (e.g. debt collection) between 8:00 PM and 8:00 AM, Monday to Sunday.
