A common scenario for our customers is to use ClickSend to send Email-to-SMS for equipment alerts.
Think a server or router than texts rather than emails when an error occurs or even just to send daily status updates.
Follow this guide and you’ll see exactly where to go inside of ClickSend to set this up.
Instructions
Step 1:
Login to the Dashboard.
Step 2:
On the left sidebar, click SMS then in the drop down choose Email SMS.
Step 3:
Next to 'Allowed Addresses', click the blue 'Add' button.
Step 4:
Populate these details
Email Address: The Email address that will be sending out the alerts such as – alerts@mycompany.com

Please be aware not to use a generic email address or one you have no ownership of, we provide some workarounds for this scenario

Subaccount: The ClickSend account you’ll be using, you can have multiple Subaccounts in the same environment. So different subaccounts could be used for different alerts.
Sender Number: How you want the SMS to appear on the recipients handset. In some countries we support Alpha Tags where you can send from ‘MyCompany’.
Step 4: Tell the equipment who to email – phonenumber@sms.clicksend.com
