You can choose from a few Sender ID options when sending to the Zambia.

Shared numbers

Shared numbers are free, ready to use, and don’t need registration. Messages will be sent from our pool of Sender IDs, so the number might be different each time.

Shared numbers are recommended for one-way messaging only.

Alpha tags

Alpha tags allow you to use your brand name as your Sender ID instead of a number. Recipients cannot reply to messages sent using an alpha tag.

To register an alpha tag, please contact support.

Alpha tag registration usually takes 15 - 50 days.

Registration requirements

When registering an alpha tag, you will need to provide:

A copy of your business/trade license.
Confirm if the business has a local entity or an international one. Local and international registration have different forms that must be filled out.

Rules and best practices

20:00 to 08:00 (local time) for promotional messages.
Messages sent during this period are subject to fines.
