Alpha tags

Alpha tags allow you to use your brand name as your Sender ID instead of a number. Recipients cannot reply to messages sent using an alpha tag.

To register an alpha tag, please contact support.

Alpha tag registration usually takes 3 weeks.

Registration requirements

When registering an alpha tag, you will need to provide:

  • Alpha Tag: 11 characters max, no spaces

  • Sample Message Content

  • Service Description

  • Company Name

  • Company Website

  • Completion of a registration form (to be provided by our Global Sending Specialist)

  • A signed and stamped Letter of Authorisation (NOC) on brand company letterhead

    • Note: Pasted signatures and stamps will not be accepted

  • This is required to ensure the authenticity and integrity of the document

Additional Requirements for Local Businesses:

  • Copy of Local Trade License

  • No generic or numeric Alpha Tags allowed

  • All documents must be in English and officially attested by the relevant legal authority

Dedicated Short codes

Dedicated short codes are 5-6 digits long and offer superior throughput — ideal if you plan to send a high volume of messages.

To purchase a short code, please contact support.

Short code registration usually takes 7-9 weeks.


Rules and best practices

Marketing SMS Guidelines

  • Curfew: Marketing campaigns must not be sent between 21:00 and 07:00 local time (GMT +03:00).

  • No marketing campaigns are to be sent on Fridays or public holidays.


Content guidelines

Before you start sending, carefully review our sending guidelines to understand the types of messages you can't send. Additionally, you must adhere to the specific local regulations outlined below:

  • No political messages

  • No religious messages

  • No adult messages
