How to Install the Add-On
Go to the Google Workspace Marketplace and install the ClickSend SMS Add-On.
Click Allow to grant the necessary permissions.
Sending SMS from Google Sheets
Open your Google Sheet and go to Extensions > ClickSend SMS Sheets > Send.
On first use, you'll be asked to enter your ClickSend API credentials:
Username β Your ClickSend login
API Key β Found in the ClickSend Dashboard
Compose your SMS message. Your most recently sent message will auto-save for convenience.
Highlight the column or cells with phone numbers, then click Next.
Note: You can only send to 1,000 recipients at a time. For larger batches, use Send SMS Campaigns in the Dashboard.
Cost Estimation and Scheduling
The add-on auto-calculates your message cost based on message length and recipient country.
To change your recipient list, reselect the cells and click the Refresh/Update button.
You can choose to:
Send Now, or
Schedule the SMS for later.
Click Confirm Send SMS to proceed.
You'll receive a confirmation once the message is sent. You can monitor your delivery status in the ClickSend SMS History.
To send more messages, click Send another SMS.
Sender Number Settings
To change the sender ID:
Go to Extensions > ClickSend SMS Sheets > Settings
Under Sender Number, you can:
Enter an alphanumeric sender ID (max 11 characters, no spaces)
Or choose from your purchased dedicated numbers
Sender ID must comply with local regulations. Check our [country support list] for business name availability.
Signing Out or Reconnecting
To log out, go to Settings and click Sign Out.
To reconnect, go to Send and re-enter your API credentials.
Troubleshooting Installation
Due to Google limitations, the add-on can only be installed for one account per browser. If installing for multiple accounts:
Use an incognito window and log in only to the correct account, or
Log out of all Google Accounts, then log in only to the one with the add-on.

FAQs
Can I send messages from a business name?
Yesβif the destination country supports it. [Check this list.]
Business names must be 11 characters max, no spaces.
How to add a business name as the sender?
Go to Extensions > ClickSend SMS Sheets > Settings and enter it in the From Sender Field.
Do you support replies?
Yes, if you're using a shared or dedicated number. Replies are not supported for messages sent using a business name or personal number.

Where can I view replies?
Go to your SMS History in the ClickSend dashboard.
Do you support merge tags / placeholders?
Not at the moment. You can vote for this feature.
Can I include links in messages?
Yes! Just paste the URL into the message body.
