You can use set up some automated workflows on our platform at https://dashboard.clicksend.com/#/automations/rules

There are 2 types of automations that are supported

  1. Time Based

  2. Contact Based


What would I use them for?

Time based automations

If you need to send out the same message to the same group of people at a recurring timeslot, you're a good fit for Time Based automations. For example, you could send staff reminders at 5pm every day to go through the store closure checklist

Contact based automations

Use our contact based automations if you need to automatically send messages to a newly created contact. For example, when a customer signs up and gets added to the contact list, you could send a new customer offer code to them


How do I set them up?

  1. Before you start, create a list of recipient over at the contacts page

  2. Navigate over to the automations page

  3. Add an action by giving it a name, selecting your SenderId, and then crafting your message. Use placeholders in order to give your message a more personalised feel.

  4. Create an automation. This can either be time or contact based

    1. Give it a name so you can identify it in the future

    2. Select the contact list you would like to send to

    3. Select the action that you've just created

    4. For timebased automations, select how often you want the message to be sent

    5. For contact based automations, choose a delay for when you want the message to be sent

    6. Choose when you would like to start your automations

And that's it! You're ready to get sending.
