What is Messenger?
Messenger is a two-way messaging feature that allows you to send and receive SMS messages directly from your ClickSend account. Whether you're handling customer inquiries, sending appointment reminders, or following up on orders, Messenger keeps your conversations in one place.
Messenger features
To help you manage conversations, there are a number of features available in Messenger.
Extended search
Can’t find a past chat? You can search your SMS conversations by contact name, phone number, or phrases in the chat.
Open, close and filter conversations
If you have many conversations happening at once or multiple people managing your Messenger inbox, you can set the status of conversations to open or closed. Once you have closed a conversation, the conversation will appear grey.
You can also filter your Messenger inbox by open, closed or by all by using the Status button.
Bulk open and close
Instead of opening or closing conversations one-by-one, you can use the bulk open and close feature to save yourself time. You can access it via the three dots next to the Status button.
Using templates for quick responses
You can use templated responses and messages to speed up your workflow. Use any of the templates from your template library or create new templates using the + button.
Due to number and sender regulations, you can only use dedicated or shared numbers via Messenger. Learn more about Sender IDs.
Personalise with placeholders
Personalised conversations seem much more human. You can use the standard [first name]
and [last name]
placeholders or create your own custom placeholders.
Placeholder fields will automatically be changed to each of your contacts' details, so there's no need to edit the placeholder. Just add it to the messages and send.

How multiple people work together in Messenger
You can allow other users (sub accounts) to access your Messenger inbox so they can manage and reply to conversations. Learn to allow access via sub accounts.
Once you allow sub accounts to access Messenger, they can open, close and reply to conversations.
