Connect ClickSend to Power Automate
To use ClickSend actions like Send SMS, MMS, Letters, or Postcards in Power Automate, you first need to connect your account.
Step 1: Create a Connection
In Power Automate, go to Data > Connections > New connection.
Search for ClickSend SMS.
Enter your ClickSend credentials:
Username: Your ClickSend username
API Key: Found in your ClickSend dashboard
Click Create – you’re all set!
Send SMS with a Custom Sender ID (Alpha Tag)
Want to send SMS from your business name instead of a number?
Register your Alpha Tag in your ClickSend dashboard.
Once approved, go back to Power Automate and:
Use the Send SMS action.
Expand the advanced fields (look for the small icon on the Message Body field).
Add this to your JSON body:

Send Letters & Postcards Automatically
To send printed mail via Power Automate:
Add the Send Letter or Send Postcard action.
In the PDF File URL field, paste the public file link (Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.).
Save the flow – and that’s it!
Letters and postcards are sent through our print network. Track them via Post History.
Send MMS from Dropbox
Use Dropbox’s When file is created trigger.
Add Convert Media File Format action and choose MMS.
Use the Send MMS action via ClickSend.
Input media URL and phone number fields dynamically.
All sent MMS will appear in MMS History.
Trigger Flows from Inbound SMS Keywords
Want to reply or take action based on incoming SMS?
Use SMS Inbound Automation as your trigger.
Add a Condition step:
Value: Body
Condition: contains
Keyword: e.g.,
join
In the “Yes” path:
Add Create New Contact (use From as phone number)
Add Send SMS (use Phone Number dynamically)
This setup will automatically create a contact and send an auto-reply when someone texts a keyword.
