Wondering what the email statuses mean? Below is a run down.

Status

Description

Delivered

Email successfully delivered to the recipient's mail server.

Processed

Email received by ClickSend and queued for delivery.

Dropped

Email was not sent due to issues like spam content, unsubscribed address, or invalid recipient.

Deferred

Temporary rejection by the recipient's server.

Bounce

Email rejected by the receiving server.

Spam report

Email marked as spam by the recipient.

Can I send marketing emails using ClickSend transactional email?

No, ClickSend’s transactional email system is strictly for non-marketing purposes like notifications, receipts, and alerts.

How does ClickSend handle bounces?

With soft bounces, the system will retry up to three times before marking it as a hard bounce. For a hard bounce, the recipient is permanently removed after one occurrence.

Can I track opt-outs for transactional emails?

No, opt-outs are not automatically tracked for transactional emails.
