To purchase a dedicated number, please provide the following details:

  • Business name and website:
  • Customer Contact details (email & phone):
  • Area of Business:
  • What is the use case for SMS and/or Voice?

Regulations and Best Practices

Opt-in:

  • Needs to be tracked (meaning how, when, and via which channel), but it does not necessarily need to be via mobile/MO.

Opt-out:

  • Instructions are required to be embedded in the message, but the flow is not required to be via a mobile number. This means that opt-out may as well be a website or e-mail.

Adult content is not permitted. Gambling/betting: State entities own and manage all forms of gambling in the country. These entities are currently the following:

RAY (land-based casinos, table games, slot machines) Veikkaus Oy (lottery, sports) Fintoto Oy (horse racing) PAF (regulator in Åland)

Banned Content

  • No “quick” loan services will be permitted.
  • No adult services will be permitted.
  • The numbers are intended for commercial use for person-to-application services, likely by businesses in Finland/the Nordics.
  • Cases that do not include a clear specification of the end client and a description of how the number will be used will not be approved.
  • Gambling/Betting SMS that does not originate from these companies is not compliant with the local law in Finland.
