How to start sending MMS

Updated 3 days ago

This is similar to using our Quick SMS feature, however allows you to add an image in the message. Simply drag and drop into the drop file section and continue as you would as be sending a SMS. (Make sure your image is per media specifications)

Send MMS via the Online Dashboard

Quick MMS

This option is best if you need to send to less than 1000 recipients at a time. If you need to send to a large number of contacts or a list, we recommend using the 'Send SMS Campaigns' option below.

  1. Log into the account dashboard
  2. Select 'MMS' then 'Quick MMS'
  3. In the 'To' field: Enter the recipients or contact lists and press enter
  4. Choose from the 'From' dropdown. Select either a shared number or your dedicated MMS number.
  5. Add a subject line which will appear above the image. (*Not supported in the USA).
  6. Either drop or upload your image. Supported file formats and sizes can be found here.
  7. Compose the message. Placeholders like '(First Name)' can be used if you're sending to a contact list.
  8. Click send time 'Now', or if you want to schedule a message select 'Later' and choose your date.
  9. Preview and confirm your MMS before hitting Send.
  10. You're all done! If you want to check the status of sent messages, click on the MMS 'History' menu item.
  11. Replies can be viewed in the SMS 'History' menu item and will be forwarded to you as setup in SMS Inbound Rules

Send MMS Campaign

This option is best if you'd like to send a campaign to a single list of contacts. You can send up to 20,000 recipients in a single campaign.

  1. Log into the account dashboard
  2. Select 'MMS' then 'MMS Campaign'
  3. Enter a campaign name, this is for your reference only.
  4. In the 'To' field: Enter the contact list and press enter.
  5. Choose from the 'From' dropdown. Select either a shared number or your dedicated MMS number.
  6. Add a subject line which will appear above the image. (*Not supported in the USA).
  7. Either drop or upload your image. Supported file formats and sizes can be found here.
  8. Compose the message. Placeholders like '(First Name)' can be used if you're sending to a contact list.
  9. We automatically add an opt-out option for marketing messages. Select either our opt-out message or unsubscribe link. If you are sending a campaign that does not require an opt-out method simply remove the message.
  10. Click send time 'Now', or if you want to schedule a message select 'Later' and choose your date.
  11. Preview and confirm your MMS before hitting Send.
  12. You're all done! If you want to check the status of sent messages, click on the MMS 'History' menu item.
  13. Replies can be viewed in the SMS 'History' menu item and will be forwarded to you as setup in SMS Inbound Rules
