Russia has multiple cellular networks, and many of them have different rules and requirements. See below.

1-Way SMS

Russia is a pre-registration destination. Senders will be whitelisted either as local brands or as international, based on carrier's confirmation. It is highly recommended to use pre-registered alphanumeric senders as Numerics & Short Code are not supported and generic Alpha Tags might be blocked by the operators.

2-Way SMS

Two-way traffic is sent via and alpha tag. A dedicated number can be used to receive incoming messages. It should be added in the message content where recipients can receive replies/incoming messages.

Alpha Tag Registration

We can register your alpha tag in Russia for USD 45 per month with a $150 once-off set-up fee, converted to your local currency. If your registration is unsuccessful, we will refund the registration fee.
